El suelo de Portland siempre le otorga mayor accesibilidad. Desde el primer año, los vinos son siempre muy expresivos y alternan entre fruta amarilla y salinidad en años fríos y aromas a tiza y piedra húmeda en años cálidos. Se disfruta mejor durante los primeros 5 años si se busca frescura, pero se puede envejecer durante 10 años o más. Marida a la perfección con ostras.
