DENAVOLO | Travo, Piacenza

Denavolo is in the foothills of the Apennines, between 350-600 meters above sea level. The winery is named after the mountain that towers over it. The project was launched by Giulio Armani in 2006, with grapes from a 2-ha rented plot. Then, in 2007 and 2008, he planted three more hectares at 600 meters in soils with a higher proportion of chalk. Today these grapes inspire his Catavela wine. Long or short maceration is a common feature in Denavolo’s wines, which are harmonious despite their strong character. A must-drink for lovers of orange wines.
