Château de pibarnon | La Cadière-d'Azur, Bandol
Count Henri de St-Victor and his son Eric transformed Pibarnon into one of Bandol's finest estates. This 48-ha vineyard on magnificent, rocky slopes, is planted with Mourvèdre (Monastrell) on terraces overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The result of these grapes, which after fermentation are aged in large oak foudres for 18 months, is an intense flavor of sweet redcurrants, spices, leather and mint, with a firm tannin texture.
